Loving: Custom CrossFit Cake Toppers

Custom Cake Topper
Custom Cake Topper

I agonized over my cake topper -- It had to be personable, cute, and stylish but not too cheesy. I wish I would have discovered this shop back then! These custom toppers are handmade with clay and even though they're a bit pricey ($150+), they definitely make for a spectacular keepsake!

Shop this cake topper and others over at Clayphory on Etsy.

Anna & Scott's Black, White, & Gold Ballroom Wedding

Sometimes I think about what I would do differently if we got to redo our wedding day, and in those thoughts I almost always gravitate toward a black and white theme, lots of candle light, and a more form-fitting gown. Oh, to be able to go back! :) Luckily I can live vicariously through the gorgeous real weddings I receive through TwoBrightLights! And this black, white and gold wedding is as classy and beautiful as they come! The Paxton Ballroom in Omaha, Nebraska makes for the most extraordinary ballroom wedding, leaving nothing left to be desired! The pops of cranberry, black and white stripes, and balloons escort cards are all festive, unique touches. And I think it goes without saying, Anna is a stunning bride!

Here's a few words from Rife Ponce Photography:

Throughout the day I heard people say how kind, giving, reliable, and fun they are-cherished friends to so many around them. They're a couple that are great individuals, but even better together! Congrats Anna and Scott!

Rustic Richmond Wedding at the Lindon Row Inn

Recently I started soliciting local weddings for features on the blog because Virginia - lets face it! - inspires some really gorgeous weddings! When I received this one, I couldn't believe my eyes because this is a local spot I know very well! In college, I used to live right next door to the historic Linden Row Inn in Richmond, VA. I was pleasantly surprised to see the Inn appears just as pretty and as charming now, as it was then! The Linden Row Inn offers a cozy, yet classy atmosphere for rustic weddings. It's the same blend of old and new you see in the contrast of these cowgirl boots up against the velvety tufted chair.

Add a lilac and sage bouquets with babies breath, chalkboard signs, tent lighting, and cobblestone streets and you've got a wedding that really exudes the city charm of Richmond, and the old world feel of this historic venue. Read about the history of the Linden Row Inn here!

A few words from Crystal Reyns, the couple's photographer:

Ashley and Otto were wed on May 3, 2014, at the gorgeous Linden Row Inn in downtown Richmond, Virginia. With touches of purple and sage, the wedding had touches of vintage with a twist on rustic country. Richmond offered the perfect day. We strolled the cobblestone streets, with laughter of the wedding party, we were able to capture the perfect sun setting images in the town with so much history as they are just beginning to write theirs.

Thank you Crystal Reyns Photography for this lovely feature!

Congratulations Ashley & Otto!

Seafoam & Peach Wedding

Maggie Sottero is and always will be one of my favorite wedding dress labels. I vividly remember pinning over the Reese, a Maggie Sottero slim-line gown with a deep-v front and sparkly halter straps; similar to the gown Heather has on here. There's just something about Sottero gowns that embody the perfect blend of sexy and classy - a tough balance to achieve! Add in seafoam, chiffon bridesmaid gowns, a killer updo, blush peach roses, and William, the dashing groom, and you've got one breath-taking wedding! But you know what's better than all those lovely details? The fact that Heather and Billy met when they were just 14, and this church? Same one their parents and grandparents married in! And they didn't do just any ole' first look - they went with a father-daughter first look, which, by the way, is the sweetest idea ever!

Photographed by Dan and Melissa, this whimsy, light-filled day will make your day! Congratulations Heather and William! Thank you for sharing such beautiful images with us.
