"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of thier dreams."
Cue the fireworks; I'm blogging Fit for a Bride!
As some of you may know, I've been dreaming about starting this blog for more than a year now. It all began back in 2008 when I got engaged, found, and quickly fell in love with the wedding-blog community. I watched as Style Me Pretty became THE ultimate wedding blog and others, like The Knotty Bride and Green Wedding Shoes (blogs in general!) came up. At the time, I was busy planning my wedding and blogging for Weddingbee, but I knew back then--just as sure as I know now--that someday I, too, wanted to author a wedding blog for a large audience.
After our big day and the revamp of my personal blog, Sincerely Sara, the idea for a fitness/wedding website hit me like a ton of bricks! I couldn't shake the feeling I was supposed to do this and at some point, I decided I would finally chase that dream of reaching the masses!
Fast forward today - January 1st - and while Fit for a Bride is still just an idea, it's one I've invested a lot of time and even some money into. Namely, I have an awesome logo! Thanks to Carolynn of Two Brunettes! I have a domain and wonderful web-hosting platform (I've switched from Blogger/GoDaddy to Wordpress/Bluehost). I'm connected! You can 'Like' our Facebook page and/or follow me on Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest (I have close to 3,000 pins)!
Best of all, I have a ton of content! I hope you're ready!
On this blog, you can expect to see of range of posts: everything from workouts and healthy recipes to blogging tips and how-tos, and of course, wedding inspiration! I'm most excited about the line-up of weight-loss success stories I have (mine will be shared later today) and the guest posts coming from Industry pros. Did you know your photographer loves juicing? Or that your planner is an eco-friendly enthusiast? If not, stay tuned!
I even some wedding and fitness DIY projects planned!
What I don't have is a perfect header or the perfect layout. I don't have a slew of sponsors or a mega giveaway to kick off this launch-- all things I wanted to have when I started. But, I'm reminding myself, "done is better than perfect" and I'm hoping you'll forgive me as I work out the kinks, hone my blog voice, and take this little-big dream one day at a time.
Thanks for reading my first post! Please comment and share your blog. I want to follow you back!
Also, check back later today to read my weight loss story and more about what you can expect from Fit for a Bride blog!
Happy New Year!
